STRUTEX 2026 accepts one-page abstracts addressing the long-term performance of textile materials, structures and design-driven products in real use. Submissions are welcomed from textile science, engineering and design research, including research through design. All submissions are handled through the online conference submission system.
On-line Registration and Abstract Submission
Authors are required to submit a one-page abstract by the abstract submission deadline. Abstracts undergo peer review based on relevance to the conference focus, methodological clarity and contribution to knowledge related to textile performance and longevity.
Submission of full papers is not mandatory.
Following abstract acceptance, authors will be invited to present their work either as an oral presentation or a poster.
A limited number of selected contributions (approximately 20) will be invited to submit a full paper for consideration in a special issue of Fibres & Textiles (ISSN (online): 2585-8890). Invitation to submit does not guarantee publication. All manuscripts will undergo the standard peer-review process of the journal and must meet its editorial and quality requirements. Detailed submission guidelines and templates will be provided via the submission system.
Science Research Paper
Empirical, experimental or theoretical research in textile science and engineering, addressing material behaviour, structural performance, testing methods or performance limits over time.
Design Research Paper
Research through design, practice-based research and design-led investigation with explicit research questions, documented methods and critical reflection on use, performance and longevity.
Both contribution types are subject to peer review and are presented within the same thematic framework.
All abstracts are reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee. The review process evaluates relevance to the conference scope, clarity of research questions, appropriateness of methods and contribution to understanding textile performance, use and longevity.
The official conference language is English. All submissions and presentations must be in English.
