STRUTEX 2026 invites research contributions addressing how textile materials, structures and design-driven products perform over time in real use. The conference approaches longevity as an outcome of material behaviour, structural performance, design decisions, user interaction and maintenance, rather than focusing solely on new materials or technologies labelled as sustainable.
Rather than separating disciplines, STRUTEX brings together textile science, engineering and design research, including research through design, within shared thematic sections. Contributions are presented side by side to enable dialogue across perspectives and critical discussion on performance, form, use and failure in textile products.
All contributions undergo peer review.
