INTERNATIONAL PHD. STUDENTS DAY


We would like to invite you to the International Ph.D. Students Day, where the invited speakers will guide the lectures and the students of Ph.D. study program will refer about the scientific results connected to their dissertation work. The International Ph.D. Students Day will be held on November 29, 2022.

The registration can be done by submission of full text (4-8 pages) using full text template and full text submission system (see conference web page (http://strutex.ft.tul.cz/2022/Paper/paper.html) till 15th of November 2022.

Best papers will be awarded by the committee, which will be established from the distinguished guests invited to the conference. The number of participants is limited and therefore the early bird registration is recommended.

Dr. hab. Ing. Marcin BARBURSKI

Research Interest:
Modelling the structure and properties of fabrics under mechanical loading, technical textile, conveyor belts, steel fibres knitted fabrics as well as textile products made for composites and X-ray tomography used to analyse textile structure.
Topic of Lecture:
Sustainable development in the aspects of technical textiles

Short biography:
Since 2005, he is employed at the Faculty of Materials Technologies and Textile Design in the Institute of Architecture of Textiles. Received PhD in 2007 and habilitation in 2016. Since 2019 he has associate professor position. His scientific activities include matters basically concerning formation of the textile structures for a specified purpose - dedicated textile structures, the modelling structure and properties of fabrics under mechanical loading, technical textile, conveyor belts, steel fibres knitted fabrics as well as textile products made for composites, technical embroidery and textiles acoustic barriers and X-ray tomography used to analyse textile structure. In order to improve his professional and scientific qualifications he completed academic internships at the Faculty of Technology and Design in Saint-Petersburg (Russia), Faculty of Textile at the University of Budapest (Hungary), at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), at the Department of Materials Engineering in Composite Group and, at the Textile University of Ghent (Belgium).Currently he is the coordinator of the project financed by the EU Horizon Europa “Sustainable Industrial Design of Textile Structures for Composites”.
